So of these two which are better for cold weather?

The Skyliner seems to have more insulation but is less "rugged".

I haven't seen the new Skyliner. I use the Grip Trex. They have Vibram soles... don't know what the soles on the Skyliner are.

Ruffwear has GREAT customer support. Email them your question and then let the rest of us know!

This photo wraps it.

The only time I could see a use for them would be on a hot sandy beach - or if you take him/her hiking in the kinda snow where ice forms on the top of the snow pack, they keep the sharp ice from cutting up the dogs paws.

After using them on my dog, this is what I came away with:
- The dogs paws have better traction without the shoes on.
- Most of the time, you have to tighten the strap tight to hold the boot on (especially if they get wet), this ends up hurting the dogs feet because it puts extra pressure on the lower leg muscle.
- Better stuff to spend $60.00 on, unless you take him to the beach ir winter hike alot.

Just my 2 cents worth ..... :)
