Question for Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 owners:

I just set up my Big Agnes Seedhouse 2 for the first time. There are an incredible 7 guylines attached to the fly.

Where do they go?

Never mind; got it. Fussy tent.

Another reason I got the Hubba!

I hear it's a good tent though. Saw it on the AT - looks like lots of room.

I love my Seedhouse, but if I had it to do over again, I would get a Hubba.

Please elaborate. I would jump if they came out with a hubba 1.5.

Max-do you still find it fussy, a day later? 2 setups later?

All of the different sizes of Seedhouse tents are pretty nice and don't weigh much, but even my Seedhouse 1 takes more stakes that any two person tent, being only about 3/4 free standing. Just tie off some of the guy lines on that thing to whatever bushes are in the neighborhood or don't even worry about them.

I'm gong to unretire my old tent for this weekends trip; I'll play with the SH2 next week.

I used a Seedhouse 2 on my thru in 2005. Typically I only needed to attach a couple lines to ensure good air flow. Occasionally, high wind caused me to attach more lines for tent stability, particularly when at an exposed site or on an elevated tent pad. Agree that the number of lines seem to be excessive. Great tent and I'm glad I purchased and used it.
