try it at home. make after dinner coffee each night. boil 2 liters every day and see how long a cannister will last you. do it outside where temp and wind can affect it just like on the trail. you should get an accurate figure......but 1 should do fine until at least N.H. then judge how easily the are obtainable for you.

One small 4 oz canister lasted me and my dad right at about two weeks with dinner at night and coffee half the time in the morning using a Jetboil stove.

I get about 2.5 to 3 weeks on one large canister (8 oz. net weight). I cook only one meal a day, but it includes two cups of tea.

3.5 weeks, I think. One boil a day, sometimes two.

Never really kept track though.
