Water at Walnut Mtn. Shlt. & Deer Park Mtn. Shlt?

Hoping to stroll from Lemon Gap into Hot Springs week after next with my sons. Anybody got a water report from the shelters (or other spots) in between?

A month ago there was not much water, and the pipe by Deer Park Mtn was dry. There is a source off to the left side of the trail as the spur to the shelter goes to the right, and I understand that may be better. The streams just past Garenflo Gap to the N were dry.
