Himalaya Vari-Fuel, noisy ?

Sorry to bother you again, really.



The question this time is, does the Primus Vari-Fuel make noise like the MSR DragonFly ?

Or it is alrighty to out with it ?

And, can it simmer alright ?

My vari-fuel is very noisey. Simmering is trickey but can be done. I only use this stove for winter trips, I wouldn't bring it on an AT thru hike. There are many lighter options.

My vari-fuel is LOUD. Generates some excellent heat, but it seems heavy for a thru-hike. It has never caused my any problems tho. Dependable. For my thru-hike I am going to use a Pocket Rocket. Light. Loud, but oh well.
