View Full Version : Got a new Western Mountaineering Caribou MF
Just received a brand new WM Caribou MF sleeping bag that I purchased on Ebay. ONLY $172.50 + $10 shipping. GREAT looking bag, tags still on it. Can't wait for summer to come back. This is the first WM bag I've bought and I see why they have such a great reputation. Way more loft than I expected.

I have the same bag in Long...bought last summer and only used a few time. True to its temperature rating and a beautiful work of art. You will love this bag.

Does the WM Caribou have completely sewn-through stitching, or is it baffled to create boxes in which the down can loft? Do you notice the lack of a baffle along the zipper? That is, do you get a lot of air-flow through the zipper?

Those WM bags are just about gorgeous, aren't they? I got my Megalite, and was almost afraid to touch it.
The Caribou is sewn through. I've used it down into the 40's and have not noticed any cold spots. I do use a silk liner with it to help keep it clean,so that probably helps too.
