I am a prospective thru for 09. hope to speak with other folks that are leaving then!Hi Sammy! I too am planning on an '09 thru-hike! I am thinking about starting around the beginning of March sometime. I don't know wether you plan a north or southbound hike, or when you plan to embark.

Welcome! I too am heading to Springer the first week of March. There are quite a few leaving around this time. Start asking questions and anwsers will surely follow.
