I found this plant growing in a field above Manassas Gap in September. I can't figure out what it is...

looks like a wild tomato, but its POISONOUS.

Plant names are sometimes hyphenated or written as a compound word to indicate a particular plant is not actually what it may seem to be given it's name. Horsenettle belongs to an altogether different family (Solanaceae) than nettle.
