Just curious if anyone has recently hiked the first 28 miles of the BMT to Wilscot Gap and could report on the water situation.

You will find plenty of water Three Forks, Long Falls, possibly some at Bryson Gap
Do not get water from the Toccoa River or Little Skeenah Creek, as there are livestock areas only a short distance upstream (although I have from both before I knew better).
There is a spring just north of Licklog Mountain (3.55 miles north of Georgia Highway 60, 2.09 miles south of Skeenah Gap). This spring is about 100 yards east of the trail. Dances with Mice put a sign up here last spring.
I found the Seabolt Branch Creek was flowing strong ~.25 mi off trail on the SW side of Rhodes Mtn.
This is the last water till the country store.
