Laurel Gap Shelter Question??

Hi Y'all.

This is Magicmomma from backpacker.com

Just needing a bit of beta about the Laurel Gap Shelter water situation.
Has anyone been recently enough to update me on the water situation at the shelter?

It is not as dry this year as last, but still dry.
Got a reservation for this coming Sat. Oct. 25.

Needing to know the circumstances with the water.

New BPing buddy coming along and I want this to be a good experience for both of us, but esp. her since it will be only her 2nd bp trip.

Laurel Gap Shelter is not currently listed as having a water problem on the NPS site.

I was just there Saturday night. The water is flowing about 3 liters a minute.

Glad to help out. I love the location of Laurel Gap shelter. I've never seen the water dry up there, even August of last year when it was so dry.
