Hey, ATroll, I've noticed a few people posting lately that they've lost or found something on the AT. Since I didn't see one listed how about a "Lost/Found on the AT" forum? Or you might expand it to "Lost/Found on the Trail" forum. It could rescue an otherwise disastrous section/thru.
