Hey everyone!
Thanks in advance for any and all help. I just wanted to get some a advice on my list of clothing for a thru-hike that I am planning. Keep in mind while looking that I am going to be leaving Feb 1st so it will still be cold. Instead of taking heavier items, I am just going to be taking more layers. I think that will be better for comfort, weight, and overall ease. So here's my list (also I will include the links in case anyone is interested in them.. they will follow in their respective orders at the end):
Rain Pants Reed Pants GoLite 6.0 oz
Rain Jacket Virga GoLite 8.0 oz
Insulation Flash Vest Western Mountaineering 3.5 oz
Extra Warm Layer Drimove zip up GoLite 8.0 oz
Long Sleeve Shirt drimove silk top l/s GoLite 3.0 oz
Short Sleeve Shirt drimove silk top s/s GoLite 2.0 oz
Pants/Shorts Katek convertible prAna 6.2 oz
Base Layer Top continuum midweight mountain hardware 5.0 oz
Base Layer Bottom drimove bottom GoLite 8.0 oz
Boxer/Shorts Advanced Lightweight mountain hardware 3.1 oz
Hat 200 pocket Icebreaker 2.0 oz
Gloves 200 liner Icebreaker 1.0 oz
Socks (2pairs each) PhdOutdoor/Adrenline Mid Smart Wool 10.0 oz
And here are the websites:

Now that I look at it, it looks a little top heavy (literally) but I think if I keep my chest warm it will be easier to keep my legs warm.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks again,
Ian
