Woke up this morning and it was snowing. It was on and off today while we were downtown. We could see snow on top of the mountains. Its that time of year, but wow its early this year.

Man, I'm jealous. We were supposed to get flurries here in ****sburgh, but nothing materialized. I have a ruck march tomorrow morning for ROTC and it's also supposed to snow a bit. I hope so!

All we have is wind...again. Had bad winds all week in SNP. Had wind burn too, felt like I had a sunburn on my face.

First shot of winter is to hit tonight in this area with a temp finally below freezing and the good chance for strong winds and a mix of rain and snow. Should be a raw night out a first for the season.

we have had over 13.5 inches so far in FBKS, and temps of -10 F

Just returned from SNP where it was not snowing but I had snow coming across the mountains comprising the VA-WV border and of course here in Frostburg, it's snowing enough to coat the cars as of right now.

This post does not belong - as far as I'm concerned it is spam. Take it somewhere else "lady"treehugger.

It wouldn't snow like this in the middle of February here in Jersey.

We had some snow here, too, a few days ago, with some very frosty mornings. I am so happy for the freezes, last year we didn't have even a frost until late Nov. What an ugly fall last year.

Today highs in the 60's, it figures.

Hey Chaco, you know what the first snow means? It means we are one day closer the the Earth Day Party at SBF. It is defenitely happening. The only question is just how big the first annual SBF Earth Day Party is going to be. There is talk of roasting a pig or 2, kegs of beer, a band. The seed has been planted in Marias ear and she is psyched. Ill keep you posted

Rockhound, when is the Earth Day Party and who is invited? SBF is one of my all time favorite places.

It will be happening on April 20th 2009. All are invited. I believe its on a Monday. There may be a small admission fee to help cover costs which will be included in the price of your stay if you are staying overnight

Soco pass received about six inches, Cherokee and Sylva a dusting, just enough to cover cars and trucks. 441 was shut down, so no one could get up the mountain to Clingmans Dome.
Very exciting, this snow is early for us, looking forward to more!:sun
