View Full Version : Hiawassee and Franklin
I just returned from my annual fall section hike and I have to say ..... 2 thumbs up for Haven's budget inn and the Hiawassee Inn.
What a great bunch of people and some GREAT services.
Don't stay anywhere else!

I agree--Franklin was my first town stop on my hike this year and one of my best. Between Ron Haven and the First Baptist Church folks with their hiker feeds, I felt completely welcome there. I stayed at the Sapphire and ate at the AYCE chicken place across the street. Wonderful!
Stayed at both and would do it again.

Southern hospitality at it's best!!
Ron Haven is great, he makes it so hikers can actually relax while in Franklin. All town chores wait until 4PM, when he loads you into his bus and takes you everywhere you need to go to complete your town chores.
Plus, he bought me a pizza for my birthday.
