I walked from NOC to Fontana this weekend water was available at the following locations:
NOC
Sassafras Gap Shelter
Spring 0.1mi north of Brown Fork Gap Shelter
Cascade 0.4mi North of Yellow Fork Gap
Cable Gap Shelter
Fontana Dam Shelter
Apparently there is a pipe spring somewhere down the road from Stecoah Gap that is running, but I had plenty at that point and didn't go looking. Brown Fork Gap shelter was definitely dry, as was Cheoah Bald, Cody Gap and Locust Cove Gap. Someone had left a couple of big jugs of water at Yellow Fork Gap, one was empty and one was full.
