I just spoke with a DNR worker over in the Jackson/Washington State Forest. The KT is cleared from Deam Lake Trailhead up to mile post 11.

The crew has jumped North and is working up there where there is much more damage. They can only make 1/4 mile in a days time.

According to the DNR worker it may take several months before the trail is cleared.

It's the aftermath of Hurricane Ike that passed through the area a few weeks ago.

It's not brush. It's entire trees. Hugh trees at that.

Ike kicked the crap out of several trails in Indiana. Adena Trace (Brookville Lake) was an obstacle course when I did the loop last month. There were scores of 3ft plus diameter trees across the trail.
