I just forwarded the article to my hiking partner, Pickle, who did a great job raising funds for ALS research on our AT hike this year. He had a very close friend succumb to the disease while we were hiking the CDT in '07. Thanks for the article.

yeah this pretty good stuff given the overall state of affairs worldwide. it softens me up a bit and takes the "me, me, me" out of the mix. i'm thankful

Thank you for sharing this LW. This hits me pretty close to home. My uncle (my father's brother) has ALS, so this touches me that someone out there is doing something like this to raise awareness of this awful disease.

Hey Shiloh! How have you been?
Double Kudos to Ben Davis. This is the kind of trail-running I can get behind.

Wish I'd have known about this sooner. We lost our next door neighbor to ALS, and would have loved to provide some support for this effort.
Lost my Dad to ALS 5 years ago. Not a good way to die. We need a cure and all the help we can give. Thanks!
