How hard it is to find denatured alcohol for resupplies in the U.S. and overseas (especially Taiwan)?

Denatured alcohol is available quite readily from most hardware stores and Walmart. It's typically in the paint section. Additionally, some automotive stores (and Walmart) carry Heet (in the yellow bottle), which works really well as an alternative.

on the trail, hostels and outfitters it is easy to buy by the oz. for Taiwan, ask fiddlehead.

you can also buy it under the names of methyl hydrate, methanol, ethyl alcohol and fondue fuel

What kind of stove are You using? Some stoves can burn Isopropyl (rubbing)Alcohol.

Grab it at any Home Depot or Lowes int the paint department. It is easy to find in the states.
