So, those of you who filter their water by connecting the drinking tube directly to the filter (remove the bite valve, connect to the filter and pump away). Over time does the bite valve/drinking tube connection develop a leak from being connected/disconnected so much?

Be sure and keep silicone grease on the quick connects.
When it starts to get loose/leaky (maybe 500 trail miles) cut the 1/2 inch of "damaged" hose off and it is as good as new(minus 1/2"). The bladder will spring a leek before the hose gets to short.
