I was just browsing through Amazon looking at what they had for AT books and AWOL's book was listed. They had three books available ranging in price from $49.99 to over $64.00. Am I missing something? Have these suddenly gone out of print?

IMO, Amazon's a ripoff for about anything. If you want Awol's book, order it from him directly on his website. That's the best way to get it.

I indeed have his book and place it among the best of the first person trail narratives. I just thought that I might be able to sell my copy and buy that WM sleeping bag that I have been lusting after, as well as finance my next AT adventure.

Awol on the trail is a great book. Got me off of my backside and on the trail. Met Awol in Waynsboro, Virginia a few months ago. Just as nice in person as he is in the book. Take a look at www.appalachianpages.com (http://www.appalachianpages.com)

Try www.half.com (http://www.half.com) It's a part of Ebay that sells books at reasonable prices plus shipping and handling of course. Mine was considerably cheaper than $45
