How many of you are atempting a april thru hike???

April 18th start for me.
I hope to start April 15th. Just waiting for some gear and then the long drive from California to Georgia...

Around April 28th for me...
Starting April 18th. Does anyone knwo what trail conditions are around Springer? I hear there's snow further up North between Hot Springs and Erwin.

I am so happy to see some familiar names leaving in April. I had to get off the trail early on, due to an injury, and I have been thinking long and hard about my return. My fingers are crossed for a mid to late April return. I wanted to pick up where I left off, and its nice to know I will see a few 'familiar faces' out there.
By the way, sitting on your butt all day to let a foot injury heal is really hard on someone who wants to be out hiking... :(

I was in Erwin towards the end of march and there was no snow at all, and im pretty sure by the 18th if there was any it will of melted. When i was there it was mid-70's most of the time
oh my! of course i'm not ready -- but going ahead. hey miss peak-a-boo, if you get back on the trail mid-april, we just may run into each other. :)
