There are several trails in Nassau County and in Suffolk Country -- about 200 miles worth. When I lived on the island, I walked the Nassau-Suffolk one several times. A good website for information is http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=BGN062-001
You can "google" Greenbelt trails for additional websites.
