I quess most of us on white blaze are getting ready for two 2009. I got my foot in the door as an artist, I been doing a lot of painting, but hiking is my first love. Best of luck with your hike AND your book.

Personally, I hope you include material about choosing to get off the trail and inspiration to come back. I don't know if this has been addressed in any other AT book as of yet.

The closest would be Bill Bryson, but that only dealt with dropping the thru-hike, not getting on again in later years.

That is a good one. You only need one period at the end of a sentence, not three.

Wow, you are rude!

Good luck man on your book. No doubt I will read it.

And Totem, I'm sure the editor will correct him of his mistakes....he doesn't need your input!

My apologies for being so rude. My advice: Don't write your book from your blackberry also...

3 periods are permissible. I'm not writing a book....

Wait, is this the Underground/Nathan that was hanging around The White Birches Campground in Gorham waiting for a SS check or something like that?

Good luck Nathan,I look forward to reading it.
Negative not intended - plain factual statement.
Hadn't heard of him - went back and read some of his old posts and the newspaper article/video and realized he was working through some issues.

Good luck with your book Nathan. I hope to read it one day. I remember hiking with you in 05. You were a strong hiker then as I bet you are now. Peace, Wilderness Bob

Underground, you aspire to meet challenges that have so far escaped you. It's admirable to set a higher bar and to try your best to accomplish dreams that seem out of reach. There's nothing wrong with that. Make adjustments along the way, while keeping your eye on the goal. Keep dreaming and hiking, but most of all enjoy the journey. Best wishes to you with your hike and your book!
