View Full Version : Congratulations, Godzilla!
Just letting everyone know that my boyfriend Erik - trail name Godzilla - summited Springer on Saturday to complete his SOBO thru hike!!! He says hello to all his trail friends and town friends. I greeted him with a champagne toast in the parking lot.
I was only able to take off for 2 months, so I joined Godzilla the first 500 miles, Katahdin to Rutland VT. Hello to anyone I met as well, my trail name was MacGyver. We met a couple of Whiteblaze NOBOs in NH. Peanut and Wrongway come to mind but I know there were more. Erik spent some time hiking with One Gallon, who is finishing his triple triple crown. Don't know if he's on WB.

Great news ,congradulations and Merry Christmas.
I met you two at Towns Inn in Harper's Ferry and then Godzilla by himself at the Ensign Shelter on Oct. 3rd. I gave him some cold pizza for breakfast. I am very impressed with SOBO's finishing the trail at this time of the year. Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! Bama

Congrads, It is great to hear he made it . It is Bronco, I stayed at Mishpa hut with you 2 and a lady and Alf the australian.We staed in the library. The trip in NH was a real experience but Maine was great. It stopped Raining by then. Alf and I summitted Katadhin on Sept.10 cold Rainy summitb but the desent turned out to clear and we got so fantastic views. happy hoildays BRONCO

Congrats Godzilla...great accomplishment.
Just found this thread... congrats to Godzilla (I knew he'd do it!) and MacGyver hope all is good in the Navy. Grizzly when did you change your name on Whiteblaze, I wouldn't have known it was you if you hadn't signed Grizzly. I'll never forget Katahdin with you guys!

woo hooo!! I met him in Hampton, TN. He was with 3 other guys that were slack packing that day. Very nice guy!

I don't know if you remember me, but we pretty much made out every single night in Maine (sorry to break it to you MacGyver!)
I finished on the 15th with a bunch of others. I miss it so much I'm going on the PCT next year with BooBoo!

Zilla "watch your footin ya'll" Hiked with him for a good couple weeks we slowed him down with moonshine and big fires.
