yeah i was in marshals yesterday and picked up a reversible 10.5 ounce Columbia titanium msrp: $180 for... 70 bucks. Its down, 700 fill. Packs up to about a nalgene bottle inside a pocket. great little find.
yeah our marshalls around here has started to get some TNF, marmot, and burton stuff in as well. i'll be popping by after christmas is over. nice find

last time i was at a marshalls i found some really nice hiking boots on sale for cheap. i dont remember the brand, but it was high quality stuff.

There are plenty of down jacket deals right now. One of the lightest is the boy's down jacket at Costco. It costs $30. It's very very light. It's also very easy to convert to a down vest because the body and sleeves were sewn closed separately and then sewn together. I'd have that one already, but I'm too fat. The XXL should be fine for most adults though. Target also has a women's down jacket for $50 that weighs around 10 ounces. There are a couple others, but they're much heavier.
