Crowds

When specifically is the most crowded 2 week span each spring on teh AT between Franklin and Fontana? I can probably guess but figured I'd ask anyway. I'm trying to hammer down dates for 2009's section hike and would prefer NOT to be there during THE most crowded time. I'm not looking for solitude and don't mind a group of 10-12 at the shelters each night, but at the same time I don't want to NOT have anywhere to set my tent up because there's 30 people there. And I know all I'd have to do is walk a few hundred yards up the trail to eliminate this problem, but I actually like camping at the shelter areas out of sheer convenience(fire rings, picnic tables, privies, water, etc.)
