This time of year I struggle to come up with something for a Christmas presents for good friends who also hike with me. They probably have all kinds of equipment and, like me, prefer to make their own choices for gear. I made a donation to the Maine Appalachian Trail Land Trust in their name. Not only is it the perfect size, but it will give them enjoyment for years as they enjoy the Trail and the lands around it. I'm one happy Santa.
Perhaps it was in their name, but it was for all of us. Thanks.
