My wife got me a gift card from Blue Ridge Mountain sports for a pack. This was a fantastic gift on two levels. First, I get a pack that I can pick out and size myself! Woot! Second, and most important, she has officially signed on to my thru-hike of 2011.
We've been talking about it for a while but in truth, I don't think she took me seriously. Probably thought I was pipedreaming. However, she said she walked into the store and told the clerk that I was going to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail and needed a pack.
I thought this was very cool. Anyway, hope you all are having a great Christmas!
