I am having trouble removing paint from aluminum cans, steel wool doesn't cut it.

Any suggestions?

ohh, something that looks professional instead of used trash. (not a good reason huh)

I pride myself that you can still see the label from the can on it

Try GOOF OFF paint, tar, and stain remover. It works great... along with steel wool.

I like to use a wire brush attached to my drill - though I've only used it for the thicker aluminum in bud bottles, it may be too much for the thinness of soda cans.

Thank you all, The Emery cloth was in the basement from 1984 and it still works!

This works the best and does not need any scrub pad, use Acetone or finger nail polish remover with Acetone works Very Good. Just rub on and wipe off shiny as heck when done.:banana

Hey, less paint = less weight. This way, Wise Old Owl can pack an extra inch of dental floss and remain weight neutral! :)

try harder with steel wool...always worked for me. you gotta use the coarse stuff.
