I am planning a section hike from Wayah to NOC and was wanting to know if there is a good water source near Rocky Bald before dropping down into Tellico Gap. Has anyone seen a spring near there and is it reliable ?

there's a good spring about 1.5 miles before the gap and good water less than a mile past the gap

thxs for the info. I saw in the trail book that there is a spring at rocky bald but was wondering if anyone has been there or better directions of where its located. i saw the two springs that you are talking about. Thanks again

I didn't figure it out the few times I've been there. It's more like seeps and mud puddles in the trail.
