This is probably too far in the future, but I would like to start figuring out what to do with my time next Winter. I will not be Winter hiking again next year since I am already going to be on the trail mid Jan to Sept if all works out.

What to do in the offseason? I would like to do something that involves catering to hikers or mountaineers. Not looking for a paycheck or slavelabor more like a place to chill and help out. I just need a place to park my car and my butt for a few months.

However, I am not looking to have an unequitable division of labor / profit. Basically, I don't want to make someone $100,000 while they are sitting in the Carribean while I am slaving like well a slave. I would rather get seasonal lease on an apartment for a few hundred bucks a month.

Somethings I had in mind were keeping the woodstove burning and shoveling snow, split wood. I would like to avoid the paying caretaker positons of NP's or the like ( there are plenty of people who need paying jobs)

Any suggestions?
