Thought I'd post this for those of you that own the Jetboil (either the PCS or GCS) but haven't registered with Jetboil. There's a recall due to a valve problem. You can see if your valve is part of the recall by checking this page (http://www.jetboil.com/recall).

There was a similar thread on here ? a week ago.
Mine has the valve that's been recalled. If you have one they will send you a mailer and get your stove back to you in a week.

I usually do and have for years. I like to "cook" over an alcohol burner but since the first time I saw a JetBoil in use I have been hooked. I'm more than happy with the JB PCS but for larger meals or actual "cooking" I still use an alcohol burner.
That might change though if I can make a Bakepacker type grid for the JB and if I get the pot attachment thingy.

Alcohol stoves are nice but I can't pull one out of my pack - make a cup of hot coffee or soup, pack up and be walking down the trail sipping my coffee or soup in 90 seconds like I can with a JB.:D

In fact, I might practice this and stick a video on YouTube...I wonder how fast this could be done in.

Ooops, my bad. I thought this thread was about a faulty valve in an isobutane/propane stove:p. Sounds like Jetboil is on the ball though in getting whatever is faulty fixed;).

I'll try not to mention alky stoves here again, cause I know somewhere someone's 90 seconds is up and they might not be able to brew a cup of coffee:bse.

That's good to know.

Jeez. No.

Imagine how the one person who did not know about the recall, and then lent the thing to his kid might feel.

Better to speak up and get run over.
