Old Buffalo was GAME '01 and finished in August. He is also a 30+ year veteran of the park service and was superintendent of Glacier, GSMNP, and Yellowstone to name a few.
He beat leukemia in 2007 and it came back last month in a different form. He is now in a hospital in Seattle trying to fight for his life. He is such a great man who was like a father to me on the trail.
