SPOT sattilite tracker...anyone use one??

Well so far so good...:)....I am the other half..so to speak of Kayak Karl...The SPOT sattilite tracker Has been a blessing for me and the boys...we throughly enjoy watching his progress... He sends a OK signal at the end of everyday hiking which makes us feel secure that he is OK. Its a wonderful device I think more hikers should use this to make their family feel more at ease...........:sun

Sort of like an alarm system - Peace of mind for the love ones..

It is cool to follow his progress every day. I'm not sure, as a female hiker, if I would want that for others to see on my hike or not. The general thought among my friends is usually to delay the journal by a few days so that a woman's exact location isn't obvious, but with the tracker it takes it to extremes the other direction.

It really is cool, though.

Keepin mind though.......you CAN turn it off not to track you..but to pick you back up again...it is totally in YOUR control. when you wanna be tracked for your family members...You can be................
