what would be a good 20* bag, light weight, synthetic that won't break my budget?

SIERRA DESIGNS WILD BILL/ROSA...$99. (synthetic-fill, 3lbs, 20 degrees) :D

voted by BACKPACKER magazine as "best buy" for several years!

i've used the Wild Bill for several years now with NO COMPLAINTS!

Have you actually tried to sleep in a down bag? I, too, am allergic to down (down pillows, blankets, etc.). But I do not have any issues with either of my down bags (SD Van Winkle and WM MityLite).

If you go synthetic I'd look for a Polarguard Delta bag. But given that it is the "top" synthetic, it will probably cost a bit more.
