Might be interested. I live in DC but my kids and grandkids live in Elizabethon. Might want to bring on of them along if possible.

not a problem, should be around early april due to weather conditions.. thinking of going from roan mountain to laurel falls area about 40 mile hike or so, comes to 13.6 a day. not bad

showcase--- mbanja is planning a trip from Hot Springs north to somewhere around there. He is planning about 100 miles and will be out for like 5 days. It is planned for late march early April as of now. I am planning on joining him also-- the more the merrier.

Will do. Plans are not finalized, but will be shortly. Would love to have anyone along. We plan on knocking down some miles, but it is easy to do in that area with all of the awesome scenery taking your mind off of things. More to come....

A friend and I will be doing 50 miles or so, from Iron Mtn Gap to Dennis Cove (Kincora) starting March 15th over our spring break. It is a small section I missed back in 05 and I'm picking it up.

This is what I was thinking as well, but I would need to do the week of 03/15. I've got something posted here: http://www.thebackpacker.com/trips/trip/1654.php
