Hello Right to Hike Supporters,
We would first like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and send out our appreciation for all of the thoughts that were expressed during the beginning of the year. We know that many of you went on your own hikes and thought of Meredith along the way. Our hearts are heavy, but your support in continuing her memory helps to continue the positive way she lived her life.
Right to Hike, Inc. was honored to receive the 2008 Gwinnett County Event of the Year presented by the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau for Ella’s Run. We share this award with all of you because it was your involvement that made it such a wonderful event. We are can not wait for Ella’s Run 2009.
One of the initiatives we feel the most passionate about is the promotion of microchipping dogs. Ella was microchipped and became the hero of Meredith’s story. PAWS Atlanta (http://www.righttohikeinc.com/typo3/ext/fastblast/mod1/FastBlastWow.php?act=click&camp=26&url=2820581403b5e159007927a239717659) has been gracious enough to hold a microchipping event with Right to Hike, Inc. and is offering reduced cost chipping for only $15. Part of the proceeds from this event with go directly to the foundation. It will take place from 10:00am to 4:00pm at PAWS Atlanta (http://www.righttohikeinc.com/typo3/ext/fastblast/mod1/FastBlastWow.php?act=click&camp=26&url=2820581403b5e159007927a239717659)this coming Saturday, January 17th. We would love to see you there.
We will have members on-site that will have t-shirts, dog bandanas, leashes, collars, etc. that we will be offering for donations to Right to Hike, Inc. Please stop by and say hello while investing in the safety of your pet at PAWS Atlanta.
One of our goals is to also offer Right to Hike, Inc. items on our website as a token of our appreciation for your support. We will send out an email to let you know as soon as that project is up and running. Also, we will soon set a list of events for 2009 and we hope to see everyone there. If you have any suggestions, we would love to hear them. Please email us at [email protected] ([email protected]).
We would like to thank all of you again for truly celebrating the life of our friend, Meredith Hope Emerson. We hope that we can help touch people’s lives as she touched ours.
