Anyone know if there is a safe place to leave a vehicle where the trail crosses the Taconic just after the shelter? I realize there is no official parking area here.
I was thinking of doing a short 3-day section, ending here.

I was asking in the general sense but let me give some more information.
I am planning a 3-day section hike with friends, somewhere around the middle to the end of April, (friday, saturday and sunday). My thought was to begin at the Wiley Shelter near the NY/CT border and hike south, staying at the West Mtn TP shelter the first night, and the Morgan Stewart on the second night.
I think I would like to end our hike near the RPH shelter. This would give us three equal legs of about 8-9 miles hiking per day allowing us an easy and enjoyable pace.
The AT maps show a parking area another 2.5 miles away at Shenandoah Mountain, but nothing east of the RPH shelter. I was hoping there was a reasonable area that I could leave a vehicle nearby, maybe Miller Hill Road or Rock Ledge road.
If you know the area, please advise.
