I'm curious if anybody is going to be eating these little suckers. If so, how are you cooking them? I'm going to give them a try, if for no other reason, just to make it that much quieter. See you on the trail.

stir fry with a little bit of olive oil and ginger. (If you can find fresh ginger root on the trail, all the better) mix with rice and it rivals General Tso's Chicken

And a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown almost put them on the menu. They soft shells are apparently a delicacy.

by the millions could be an understatement. It's estimated that around DC and Maryland (perhaps the epicenter of Brood X), they could emerge at numbers of 100,000 to 1.5 million per ACRE!!!

Oh yeah!! Im in Central MD and Ive seen several trees that could have had at least 50,000 of the little beggers in each one!! At least they arent hurting the trees or anything!! Streamweaver
