Amazon’s Kindle 2 Will Debut Feb. 9

A couple of details;

Lighter and thinner than a typical paperback; weighs only 10.3 ounces.
(Does not say if that is with batteries. )

Long battery life. Leave wireless on and recharge approximately every other day. Turn wireless off and read for a week or more before recharging. Fully recharges in 2 hours.

Cool. I bought one for my wife when they first came out and it had some obvious design issues than we knew had to fixed at some point in time so we returned it. Can't wait to get v2 and see if they've corrected the things she didn't like about it.

Has anyone else written them and told them they should make topo maps and trail guides available for dowload?

ironically i was looking ordering pct guidebook today, and saw that the pct data book is on kindle, no hard copy's though, didn't look to see if any AT books were on there
