I just use a silnylon roll-top stuff sack like these from Sea to Summit (http://www.seatosummit.com/products/display/7)that otherwise contains my clothing(dry socks, long base layers, fleece, whatever else i'm not wearing). I'll just empty the clothes into my main pack bag once I set up camp and then use it for a small water bucket if I need to.

They also make a nylon "sink" (http://www.seatosummit.com/products/display/13) that is kind of like a bucket.

Campmor, REI, EMS, etc likely has these and similar.

I'd use the Nalgene 96oz canteen instead. Especially in the summer around NY. You need to be able to pack water.

We used a Coghlan's nylon water bag, $9.99 from Campmor, and loved it. Weighs 3 oz., carries 2.5 gals, easy to fill, hangs from straps, bails from top, dries fast and packs very small. As 4eyedbuzzard noted, a silnylon stuff sack would do pretty much the same thing. If you're planning to carry one, try that and if you decide later on a separate water bag might be better for you a Coghlan bag can be purchased at the outfitter in Hot Springs or other outfitters along the way.

Right here on the classifieds. I bought some gear from Smyth555 and he sent it prompt & was just as described.

I won one of these last year at Soruck and have to say I couldn't imagine not having it with me on all trips.

My wife made me one of these before my section hike in Oct. Multi-purpose gear is awesome!
