The shop where I work here in Columbus is having 2 A.T. get togethers next week. Both are free.
Monday Feb 2nd, 2009 6pm-8pm. THRU-HIKER Q&A. If you are planning a thru-hike and have questions, come on in. If you have hiked and have answers, come on in. If you can't make it in at 6, show up late. If we run long, we can move somewhere else for food, beverages, and more discussion.

Thursday Feb 5th, 2009. A.T. THRU-HIKE SLIDESHOW and Q&A by Chad Clay aka CC RIDER, thru-hiker in '08. Check out his slide show (is it a slide show of it comes out of a computer?) and discussion of his 2008 thru-hike.
Feb 2nd is more of a nuts and bolts, planning discussion (mail drops, meals, chafe, etc). Feb 5th will be more of a public interest, warm and fuzzy, bring the folks kind of thing.
