Montbell Thermal Wrap Vs UL Down Inner

I am starting the Trail on march 3rd and will carry awinter weight down sweater for the first 5 weeks or so. Than I like to switch to a lighter not as warm insulation. There is no way I am using a fleace. Too heavly and bulky. Any feed back on Montbell Thermal Wrap Vs UL Down Inner? From someone who has used both on the AT for extended periods? I know the down will be a little warmer. Not concerned with the small difference in weight. How will the down loft up if its compressed for longer periods in the late spring and summer? After all it might not get worn much in July if you not in the whites.

ship it out and get it back when you pass by home (NY) the down will store,carry and ship better than synthetic

The down will be loftier after extended use. I have a variety of down and synthetic puffy jackets, and usually take the mid-weight down pullover.
