I just picked up a set of Osprey shoulder straps at REI for $0.83. I've got an older Aether 60 and the straps aren't nearly as nice as the newer ones looked. There were a couple of other brands as well, Gregory and ARc'teryx. Those were also $0.83. Some hip belts too. Look here. i think osprey is giving full warranty on all their packs right now (regardless of when you bought it) as part of some anniversary in the business. you may want to call them

Send me a PM if you need Osprey belts or harnesses.
The shop where I work has a couple of boxes of leftovers from when Osprey discontinued the Crescent / Luna series of packs.
They will fit the Argon / Xenon packs perfectly and will also work with the Aether / Ariel Packs,

www.theoutdoorsource.com

Belts and harnesses are dirt cheap (or free if you order anything else), shipping is free on orders over $75. They aren't on the site at all, you'll need to contact me to get them sent out.

Thanks for rubbing it in to us less fortunate. I wish I lived within a few hundred miles of an REI.

Didn't mean to do so. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw it.:)
A friend of mine bought 4 in case he lost weight....including the small:eek:. Blame him.

I'm not trying to rub anything in but the new ones are a lot nicer than the old ones. I was just cleaning out some out reciepts from my backpacking folder and I noticed I bought my Aether 60 in '02, and it was clearance, so I think it is an '01 model. The new straps have a whistle buckle, hose clamp, and much nicer padding. A little tight getting them into the velcro sleeve, but they fit. If you have an older model, the switch would be worth it even for a little money.
