NBC's Crossing Jordan set on AT

I caught the end of Crossing Jordan tonight on NBC. The episode's B plot dealt with a murder victim found just off the AT. The show is set in Mass. and the hiker's drivers license was from New Hampshire, but I didn't see enough of the show to catch where they set the trail scenes. A brief Google search tells me that episodes of the show in general are actually filmed in California--that makes for some fun trivia. The hiker who was murdered was a section hiker who spent a month on the trail every year.
