I am looking to do another large section from Erwin TN, nobo, (actually Devil Fork Gap, 305 miles N of springer) and was wondering when the thru-hike 'bubble' might be near there. Just kind of want some peoples to move along with...anyone can provide info on a time frame of when hikers might be near here?? thanks!

3rd week of april there will be tons around there

There were around a dozen at Uncle Johnnys first week in April when we were there. But April would be the month.

There were a about a dozen on Roan the other day. About late March and early April will be a good run, and the crowd should be late April going to Trail Days in May. Just remember, sectioners and weekenders will be coming out when the weather stablizes.
I was there April 30th last year, and at the time we seemed to be right in the middle of the pack.
