I was reading the post about radios -- will an AM FM TV radio still pick up tv stations after the tv stations go digital?
Only if you have cable.FOS

The AM and FM of the DT0400 beat the reception of my aforementioned radios. The weather band is a plus as is the Deep Bass button. Also, with TV band obsolete in 2009, the DT-400, which replaces TV with weather, is an important update.

No.
I just bought a cheap laptop, and added the Hauppauge USB TV receiver which is or was on sale for like $50 at RadioShack to it, so we'd have something when the power goes off. (Of course also had to add an inverter to charge the laptop from the vehicle.)
This is progress??
