Glad you started the group, guy! Hope it goes well.
But maybe change the title to read - "Teenage Enthusiasts of the Appalachian Trail" or something like that so it narrows the group focus - that way you can attract the young people you are looking for.
There's a zillion AT Facebook groups as it is.

I think it's a great idea. I'll join, and encourage my son to join as well. Although, at almost 16 he seems to be coming more under the influence of "the fumes." Not as interested in backpacking as a few years ago.
