Who uses them, and who likes them? Specifically the Eiger 65 and the Flex 65.

Why yes they do. In fact their name is written in such large letters on the pack that it makes me not want to buy one. But it is still an option in spite of their corporate presence.

Well those are interesting. But the Eiger 65 is twice as heavy as my Osprey Exos 58, and it's my heavy pack.

I have the marmot flex 65. I really like this bag kinda smaller than I am used to but that bag is tuff. You can put a granade in it and let it go off and it wont hurt it. Very tuff bag.

The Exos 58 is a fine looking pack. I'll give it strong consideration.

The trend in packs seems to be sleek. They do look nice, but I like some external pockets. I seem to always have a few things that I like easy access to. The ones that I am drawn to are always about five pounds.

And I want bottle pockets. I have no interest in a bladder.

I'm overwhelmed with choices. My old external has served me well, but it may be time to get with the times and lighten up.

I have been carrying a Marmot Talus Daypack for about 5 years. I like it and it serves the purpose. I did just replace the zipper pulls with some nice 2MM rope.
I think Marmot got this pack right. I also considered an eiger for work (Laptop and gym clothes) but got a Kelty daypack due to the number of pockets (lack of pockets on the Eiger)

I like the little pouch they make that attaches to your pack and waistbelt. It was great on my hike.
