I've been there quite a few times and have not had a problem. Of course use common sense and keep things out of sight so no one is tempted. There aren't a lot of rednecks running around up there and I've never heard of problems. I don't know about the current road conditions, though. It has been pretty mushy on the way up there in winter. Good luck and have fun. :)

Only other rule of parking at Max Patch is not to have any food in the car either. Bears love a fast food picnic.
